Self Discovery by Officer Chris Beltz

Hey Y'all 

"Hell Bitch" Handler here

Been a bit but got a little yarn to spin for you .

For the Handlers on board y'all know the benefits of Self Discovery. For others self discovery is basically when your K9 is working even when your not around or you haven't given them their command to work .

Most high drive K9s run in self discovery mode and it's Lovely to watch.

Well now that is out of the way 

here goes a story of Miss "Kleio" doing her self discovery .

We where dispatched to a single vehicle roll over accident . When we arrived sure enough there was a tangled mess of metal out in the field . Vehicle was laying on it's roof an the female occupant was running around looking at the ground . I secured "Kleio" in her kennel an approached the female an got her to sit down . She stated she was the only one in the vehicle an she needed to find her purse !  Well EMS arrived an I promised the female I would find her purse an get it to her at the hospital but she needed medical care an no need to worry about her purse ! 

Well EMS loaded her into the ambulance an off they went I proceeded to work the accident scene , take photos , measurements an such .

Low an behold guess what I found ? Her purse of course ! 

Well being a good Deputy I secured her purse in the front floor board of my pickup an made sure that the slider was locked on "Kleio's" kennel . Then went back to working the accident scene.

After getting all the photos of the scene I went to put my camera back in my pickup .

There sits Miss "Kleio" in the front passenger seat ! WTF ? How the hell she do that ? I'm scratching my head yep she smart but hell I know she can't open that slider . Well not only had she opened that slider she tore that slider off the kennel itself an it was laying in the driver's seat !! Well that's no easy task believe me ! You Handlers I'm sure have seen an American Aluminum kennel with a front slider . Do me a favor lock yourself in an see if you can get that slider torn off ! Hehehe  "Hell Bitch " can ! 

OK back to the story well like I said here's "Kleio" sitting in the front seat with something in her mouth . WTF now ? Well it's a rag so I get the tag from her right well inside that rag is a Meth pipe an a baggie with guess what inside . Damn girl score !!!!! Hehehe Love it ! Soon as I get the rag from her boom nose right back in purse an out comes a wad of cash , scales more baggies an more product !!

Damn this is Awesomeness right here ! Well out comes evidence baggies an start putting her finds in bags an filling out tags ! 

I call Boss an inform him of Miss "Kleio's" find now he's on Cloud 9 just like me ! 

So we finish up working the accident scene an tow truck has the vehicle we head into the Hospital ! After we arrive an check on the females welfare an find out she's only bumped an bruised I introduce myself an my Boss ! I then give her , her Miranda rights an she says she'll talk to us no problem she has nothing to hide ! Yeah right ! 

Well I tell her I located her purse an was wondering why my K9 showed interest in her purse ?

Her answer was I guess she found my Meth ! Damn it doesn't get any easier then that !! Hehehe  !!

So Handlers work on Self Discovery ! It's a thing of Beauty
